Betty Elizabeth Kingston, 78, a longtime resident of Severna Park, died August 20, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.
Betty was born and raised in Marlinton, WV. Mrs. Kingston is the daughter of the late Paul Braham and Ethel Gay Braham. Betty owned and operated Gemini Beauty Salon in the former Severna Park Mall. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, going to the beach, and sunbathing. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Some of her favorite excursions were to Europe, South America, and Canada. Mrs. Kingston was a member of Severna Park United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two children, Rick Barlow (Barbara) of Crofton and Vicki Shinaberry (Henry) of Millersville; her sister, Gilda Atas (Charles) of Odenton; as well as her grandchildren, Melissa Luedtke, Tracy Garren, Cameron Shinaberry, Brooke Shinaberry; and nine great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD 21146.
